What is the role of the architect in contemporary debates surrounding infrastructure?

This conference will consider infrastructure through an architectural lens, and put forth possible models for evaluating infrastructural performance. Our aim is to ask fundamental questions regarding infrastructure's definition and scope, while demarcating more speculative strategies for architectural involvement.
The all-day event will be divided into three panels:
CIVIC INFRASTRUCTURE, SYSTEMS INFRASTRUCTURE, GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE.
Each panel consists of a range of experts from architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning, along with key figures in the economic and political arena. Discussion in each panel will be led by an active moderator. Our aim is to tackle complex issues from a range of perspectives, generating a constructive and focused dialogue around key issues and real problems.
